“There’s a communication for you”

The curfew started at 10 pm. I’d been watching a match at a friend’s house and after a while he took me and another friend home by car. A few minutes before 10 pm, on the way to my house, two carabinieri stopped us. They asked to see my friend’s driving licence and my ID card. After 10 minutes they came and said to me “there’s a communication for you” and we followed them to their office in Porotto. After 15 minutes they came out of the office and said it was nothing. After all this it was past 10 pm and I asked them what should I say if they stopped me, to avoid getting fined for not being at home in the curfew.
